A man opened a case of alleged road rage on the R102.

Umhlali SAPS attended the following crimes last weekend.

• On Friday night R15 000 was stolen in a tavern in Driefontein upper Tongaat. An employee of the tavern is being accused of stealing the money.

• A man opened a case after he was pointed at with a firearm by a driver of a blue VW Jetta. He was driving on the R102 main road by the Thembeni turn off in Groutville on Friday.

• Umhlali SAPS urge residents and holidaymakers not to leave valuable items in their cars when they are going out the beach. Contact Umhlali SAPS on 032-9479900.

Correction

Last week, It was reported that on Friday May 29, two Palm Lakes Estate employees were arrested in connection with the theft of cement. In fact it was contractors’ staff who were arrested.

Umhlali SAPS are looking for anyone with information that may lead into finding the family of an unidentified man who was knocked down and killed, allegedly by a security company vehicle, on the R102, Shakashead intersection on Saturday, May 30.
