Go glam with fitness

If you are comfortable with what you are wearing, it will make exercise that much more fun!

Getting out of your warm bed to exercise in the cold, dark winter mornings is not easy, which is why you need a little glam to motivate you.

Umdloti resident Leonie Harper will give you that motivation with her sexy, comfy VivaGlam Activewear range.

“I always look forward to exercising when I have a nice gym outfit,” said Harper.

“The most important aspect in active wear is comfort, because you do not want to keep pulling your pants up and your top down while you exercise,” she said.

In fact, Harper said, comfortable clothes will make you want to exercise for longer periods.

“My clothes are made from a thick, high quality cotton lycra, which gives the clothing a snug fit, while being very flexible and long lasting” she said.

Harper stressed the importance of not choosing clothing that is too loose, as it might hook onto something, which can cause injuries.

“Extra length, nicely fitted T-bar tops are popular, as it gives you that little extra material to cover your stomach and hips, while allowing a lot of upper body movement.”

She has a range of T-bar tops with a matching long sleeve top, which is perfect for winter as you can pull over the top for the cooler mornings.

“Long, thick tights are great for early morning exercise in the winter and I have an extra length range which go slightly over your shoes, so that the cold does not creep in above your socks,” she said.

Fold over pants are also super, because they can be worn folded up or down, depending on what you prefer.

“If you feel good, you look good, so choose clothing that makes you want to exercise.”

So, when that 5am alarm rings, do not press the snooze button, jump up and get your glam on to keep the winter weight away and help your summer body stay.
