Co-owner of the Shakas Head based outdoor furniture manufacturing company Alifurn, Tamsyn Ferreira, has been chosen as a finalist in the Standard Bank’s Rising Star Awards 2015 competition.
She will travel up to Gauteng on June 24 for the final interview in the entrepreneur category, that could see her receiving the top award for the whole of South Africa.
The winner will be announced on July 24.
The Standard Bank Rising Star Awards recognise inspirational and passionate individuals who have a capacity for achievement and success.
The awards are business-sector (rather than profession) specific.
A stringent assessment process is followed, culminating in panel interviews with leading talent and industry specialists, to identify stars.
Ferreira was also the first finalist chosen for the Margaret Hirsch Woman in Business (Ballito) Achiever Awards (2014/15).
The winner of this competition will be announced in September.
