Woman still missing after falling from yacht

Woman who fell off yacht off shore at Tugela River mouth still missing.

A 58-year-old woman who fell off a yacht on Friday, June 19 is still missing and authorities are continuing with search efforts.

The National Sea Rescue Institute were called in just after 1pm on Friday where the woman was reported missing off the yacht ORYX, six nautical miles off the Tugela River Mouth.

The skipper of the yacht, Peter Hill said he woke up to find his wife, Carly, was missing.

The two left Durban on Thursday and was heading for Madagascar.

NSRI Durban launched an extensive sea, shore and air search on Friday until nightfall and continued at first light on Saturday morning.

Craig Lambinon from NSRI said Police Search and Rescue have taken over the search operation on Saturday afternoon.

By Monday there has been no sighting of the woman.
