Vessels asked to keep lookout for missing woman

Search not officially called off.

The woman who fell off the yacht ORYX last week Friday, six nautical miles offshore from the Tugela River mouth, has not yet been found.

After extensive search operations from the National Sea Rescue Institute over the weekend, Police Search and Rescue took over the operation and the NSRI search craft were sent back to base.

Brigadier Vish Naidoo from KZN SAPS said they can not patrol the water all the time, but the search has not been called off.

“We have sent out a message to all vessels in the area to keep a lookout for the woman and to report anything that they might come across,” said Naidoo.
