Home for disabled seeks help

Home seeking support from the public with food and toys.

The  home for the disabled on Stewart Farm at Guelderland is calling for the public to assist them to keep the home running.

They are struggling financially as they only have support from the Independent Development Trust (IDT) which pays for the 18 care givers. There are 14 disabled people taken care of in the five bed-roomed house and all of them wear nappies daily.

The home was founded last year, September by Kenneth Mchunu, Zama Ndlovu, Senzo Mnyeni and Neli Tsetha.

“Five of the residents need wheelchairs and we need food, toys and curtains for the house,” said Ndlovu.

For more information about the home and how you can help, you can call Ndlovu on 073 484 0441.
