New home for Ballito Junction’s hunted duiker

The young duiker ram that was attacked last Monday at the Ballito Junction construction site is on his way to his new home at Rain Farm Game and Lodge.

Construction workers tried to kill the animal on Monday, July 13 by kicking and stoning it when it wandered onto the construction site.

Fortunately they were interrupted by a site engineer and the animal was rescued.

The duiker was treated for swelling and bruises to the head and a torn lip at the Ballito Veterinary Hospital and has been recovering there until today.
