Balloons, ribbons and music met the Netcare team at The Dolphin Coast SPCA last Friday, when they arrived with a bakkie full of pet food for Mandela Day.
Netcare staff members and SPCA staff built a wall out of wet and dry pet food and cuddled the dogs for 67 minutes, the cuddles lasted a little longer.
Netcare Alberlito Hospital marketing officer, Jose Nadesan said that the pet food idea was a touch team initiative.
“The touch team representatives from each department spent three weeks to drive the initiative and thanks to the commitment from the 244 staff members, we managed to get about 600 kilograms of food together,” he said.
“We love doing stuff like this,” added Nadesan.
The Dolphin Coast SPCA was thrilled to receive all the pet food and everyone had a jolly time in the name of Mandela Day.
