North Coast accidents claim two lives

Two accidents on the N2 North on Saturday.

Two separate accidents on Saturday, September 26 claimed the lives of two people and three more were injured.

On Saturday afternoon two people died while a female was seriously injured in a crash on the N2 in Tinley Manor.

A vehicle reportedly hit two pedestrians and rolled several times before coming to a standstill on the embankment.

Netcare911’s Chris Botha said the two pedestrians died due to the extensive injuries while the female driver of the vehicle sustained serious injuries.

On Saturday evening, a couple was busy paying at the Tongaat toll gate travelling north on the N2 when a vehicle slammed into the back of their car.

The vehicle reportedly crashed into them with such force that it pushed them through the boom.

Netcare 911 paramedics arrived at the scene and found that the female had sustained serious injuries while the man escaped with minor injuries.

The driver of the other vehicle was uninjured and was taken by the police for investigation.
