KZN joins education protest
Students take to the streets in solidarity against further university fee increases.
Students in KwaZulu-Natal joined the national protest movement against the increase of university fees yesterday.
Academic proceedings were interrupted and subsequently stopped at the University of KZN, Durban University of Technology and the University of Zululand.
UKZN’s Westville campus management said lectures and exams will only resume on Monday.

Some protesters held a demonstration at the KwaZulu-Natal legislature in Pietermaritzburg.
The President will meet with university management and student leaders at the Union Buildings in Pretoria today to discuss a way forward.
The campaign has been trending nationally and internationally with the hashtag #FeesMustFall.
