A woman was killed while trying to cross the N2 North just before the Ballito off ramp at 9pm last night.

Netcare 911 spokesperson Chris Botha said the woman had been hit by a car going in a Northerly direction.

“Netcare 911 paramedics arrived found the patient lying on the roadway with extensive injuries.

“It appears from the damage of the vehicle that it was a high impact collision, her body crumpled the front and bonnet of the vehicle and hit the windshield with such force that it was totally shattered. Tragically, the lady died on impact due to her extensive injuries,” said Botha.
