Weekend crime report
Umhlali SAPS report a number of house break-ins in the area.
Umhlali SAPS attended the following crimes this weekend:
* A woman was stabbed in Shayamoya on Friday night. Allegedly by her brother.
* An Etete resident found the door of his house forced opened on Friday night. Items valued at R2600 were stolen.
* A house was broken into at Seaward Estate, Ballito on Saturday.
* A car was stolen from outside the Salt Rock Lifesaving Club on Saturday. Apparently the owner parked his car and went surfing. The car was stolen with items inside valued at R58 000.
* A man was stabbed in Shakas’ Head on Saturday. He was taken to KwaDukuza Regional Hospital.
* A house was broken into at Robbins place in Etete on Saturday. Items valued at R900 were stolen.
* A house was broken into at Gail Road, Sheffield on Sunday. Items valued at R22 2600 were stolen.
* A house was broken into at Seaward Estate, Ballito on Sunday. Items valued at R27 000 were stolen.
* Two Shayamoya residents were held up at knife point on their way to Shakaskraal on Sunday. Their cellphones were taken by the robbers.
* The Shayamoya community handed over a man to the Umhlali police on Sunday. The man had tried to rob a resident at Sunshine Supermarket.
Umhlali SAPS urge residents and holidaymakers not to leave valuable items in their cars when they are going out the beach.
