Local angler Devon de Lange was fishing in the Salt Rock area last Friday when he hooked his catch and was concentrating on reeling it in.

Suddenly a shark rose out the water, took the fish, rod and reel and knocked Devon off his kayak.

He quickly jumped back on and sat there looking a bit dazed at what had happened.
