North Coast swimming beaches remain closed today
No swimming due to the high swell and strong currents.
All swimming beaches along the North Coast will remain closed today, due to the high swell.
KwaDukuza Lifeguard supervisor Bongani Xulu said although the swell has decreased to about six foot today, the sea still remains too dangerous for swimming.
“The sea is still a washing machine with strong currents going straight out to sea,” said Xulu.
He said they will check the beaches again around 2pm today, to see if swimming conditions have improved.
