Weekend crime report
Police urge residents to be security conscious and report crime.
Umhlali SAPS attended the following crimes this weekend:
* A car was broken into at Jack Powell Road, Ballito on Saturday. A bag with clothing and an ID book were stolen.
* A man committed suicide in Shayamoya on Saturday.
* An Etete resident was stabbed on Saturday. He was taken to KwaDukuza Regional Hospital.
* Two shoplifting cases were reported in Shakaskraal on Saturday.
Umhlali SAPS urge residents and holidaymakers not to leave valuable items in their cars when they are going out the beach.
They also urge residents to report crimes against women and children and human trafficking.
Police urge residents who applied for competency certificates and firearm licence to go to the firearm office at the station for collection from Monday to Wednesday before 10am.
