Weekend crime report
A number of break-ins took place last weekend including the theft of toys and Teddy bears.

Umhlali SAPS attended the following crimes last weekend.
* House break-in at Ballito Business park on Friday. Apparently a brick was used to break the window.
* A house was broken into on Fairway Drive, Salt Rock on Friday. Liquor was stolen.
* A Shayamoya resident woke up on Friday morning to discover that his clothes had been stolen. Apparently he left a window half open on Thursday night because it was hot.
* A salon in Shakaskraal was broken into on Friday. Four hair clippers and money was stolen.
* A crèche was broken into in Shaka’s Head on Friday. Toys and Teddy bears were stolen.
* A resident in a farm at Esenembe area, Upper Tongaat found his garage broken into on Saturday morning. Chemicals were stolen.
* A house in Velani Township, Etete was broken into on Saturday. Electronic appliances, tools, jewelery, a laptop and money was stolen.
Umhlali SAPS remind residents and holidaymakers not to leave valuable items in their cars when they are going tot the beach.
They also urge residents to report crimes against women and children and human trafficking.
Police advise that residents who applied for competency certificates and firearm licence to go to the firearm office at the station for collection from Monday to Wednesday before 10am. Police Contact Umhlali SAPS on 032-9479900.
