Shots fired at Ford Ranger on N2

At least 14 bullets were found in the car that was shot at on the N2.

The occupants of a double cab Ford Ranger were lucky to escape with minor injuries, after the car they were traveling in came under heavy gun fire on the N2 this afternoon.
The driver is believed to be a taxi owner from Durban, said paramedics.
IPSS Medical Rescue paramedic Paul Herbst said the man had been traveling North on the N2 between Salt Rock and Tinley Manor when another vehicle pulled up alongside him and opened fire.
The vehicle under attack veered off the road and down a short embankment next to the highway.
“The vehicle is riddled with about 14 bullets,” said Herbst, speaking from the scene of the crime.
