Umhlali SAPS attended the following crimes last weekend.
* A man was arrested for allegedly stealing six packs of perfume at Shakaskraal Shoprite
* A man was assaulted with a screwdriver in Shayamoya on Saturday. He was accused of stealing a cellphone.
* A man was stabbed in Nkobongo, near Shembe temple, on Saturday and his money was taken.
* A woman was stabbed in Shaka’s Head on Saturday. She was allegedly stabbed by her boyfriend.
* A man was attacked with a reinforced steel rod in Shaka’s Head on Sunday. He ran into his house and he allegedly grabbed a knife and stabbed his attacker
* A man was robbed by four men on the railway track near Builders Express, Compensation on Sunday. His cellphone and money were taken.
* A man was stabbed to death in Etete, Velani Township on Sunday. He was stabbed in his neck.
Umhlali SAPS advise residents and holidaymakers not to leave valuable items in their cars when they are going out the beach. They also urge residents to report crimes against women and children and human trafficking.
Police ask residents who applied for competency certificates and firearm licence to please go to the firearm office at the station for collection from Monday to Wednesday before 10am. Police Contact Umhlali SAPS on 032-9479900.
