Spectators were treated to a thrilling football match between Nkobongo Madrid and Tigers FC.

KwaDukuza soccer fans were glued to their seats, watching brilliant football during a match between Nkobongo Madrid and Tigers FC at the KwaDukuza Recreation grounds on Sunday.

Nkobongo Madrid clinched the game 1 – 0.

Fans were on their feet as Madrid attacked with Ferrari speed towards the Tigers goal post

It was no surprise when Sihle (Baker) Pitso netted a superb goal after a superb pass from Mpho Ngubane towards the end of the first half.

The game slowed down a bit in the second half, however the introduction of the Madrid middle fielder Andile Mzimela restored energy to the game.

The crowd was confused when Madrid defender Sanele Sibiya received a red card towards the end of the game.

Sibiya later revealed that he was sent off for inappropriate language when his team mate had a verbal fight with one of the Tigers players.

Madrid coach Ajipha Ntamila said they were thrilled with the victory, that moved them into fourth position of the SAB league.

“We are improving, we are slowly but surely eliminating the mistakes that we used to make. I am impressed,” said Ntamila.

Tigers coach Sbongakonke Ndlovu said the defeat shoved them down to the second to last position on the league log.

“Defense-wise, we were not bad at all, however, we were struggling in the middle field. Throughout the game we only had one cross,” Ndlovu admitted.
