Senzo Mchunu’s blue light vehicle allegedly in crash, two dead
Two women were killed and three others were seriously injured.
Two women have been killed, and three others seriously injured in an accident on the N2 near Zinkwazi this evening.
The deceased were travelling in a silver Toyota Yaris, with three other women.
The other vehicle , a double cab bakkie, was reportedly an escort ‘blue light’ vehicle for KZN Premier Senzo Mchunu.
IPSS Medical Rescue’s Paul Herbst said the bakkie and Toyota Yarris collided head-on.
“The occupants of Mchunu’s escort vehicle have minor injuries. We cannot confirm whether they had been escorting him at the time of the accident.”
Mchunu’s escort vehicle had been heading north, while the other vehicle was believed to have been travelling from Empangeni.
