Taxi dagga mule stopped in Tongaat

Dagga with a street value of about R1500 was recovered.

A taxi carrying a load of dagga was intercepted by the Tongaat SAPS on Friday before it could reach its destination in Buffelsdale.

SAPS spokesperson warrent officer Manisha Maharaj-Marie said 1kg of dagga with a street value of about R1500 was recovered.

“Our crime prevention members received a tip off leading them to the taxi in question.

“Cst Laish Naidoo arrested one woman for the crime of transporting the illegal drugs,” said Maharaj-Marie.
