Joining the LIV revolution

Armed with paint, brushes, rollers and enthusiasm, they arrived at the village and got stuck in to make life for a family in the village a little happier.

On Saturday March 5 Cindy Bogan, the manager of Wakefields Ballito, with part of her team of estate agents took to the hills of Cottonlands near Verulam to give a helping hand in the makeover of one of the houses at LIV Village.

Armed with paint, brushes, rollers and a whole lot of enthusiasm, they arrived at the village in a bakkie at 9am to get stuck in and make life for a family in the village a little happier.

Starting in one house, the men got down and dirty and scraped down showers and walls that desperately needed painting.

In the meantime, the ladies worked at another house across the way, washing down outside walls before starting to paint the outside from floor to roof. They were then joined by the men to complete the job.

“LIV Village is such an uplifting place to work as everyone there has such a positive attitude and grateful hearts.

The work that is being done there by Tanya and her team is absolutely amazing, and doing an event like this really makes one realise that we are so blessed in our situations. Being able to assist the less fortunate is one of the most rewarding things one can do in life, however small it may seem,” said Bogan.
