Hazelmere Dam update

Attend the Ballito water crisis meeting on Wednesday.

The Hazelmere Dam level is at  43.97  per cent on Monday April 18, a slight increase from 43.92 per cent measured on April 11.

The water restrictions will continue to be enforced until the dam is at least 60 per cent full.

A Ballito water crisis meeting will address widespread confusion and uncertainty regarding water supply issues in the Ilembe district on Wednesday, April 20 at 5.45pm for 6pm at the Umhlali Country Club.

Organised by the Dolphin Coast Conservancy and Coastwatch KZN, the meeting seeks to provide clarity on where our community stands with regards to the drought and the roles played by Sembcorp Siza Water, Umgeni Water and the department of water and sanitation, and what are they doing to prevent repeats of the current water crisis.
