Taxi boss gunned down in KwaDukuza

The perpetrators allegedly burnt their getaway vehicle a few kilometres from the scene.

A Maphumulo Taxi Association member was gunned down last night in KwaDukuza, Townview Road.

According to a reliable North Coast Courier source, who asked to remain anonymous, Sbu Sokhela was killed in his car at about 7pm and the perpetrators allegedly burnt their getaway car on the R74,  four to five kilometres from the scene.

“There were about 20 bullet holes on the car and no one knows the motive for the killing,” said the source.

KZN spokesperson, Major Thulani Zwane said a case of murder has been opened at KwaDukuza SAPS and no arrests have been made.

Last Friday, April 15, Dolphin Coast Taxi Association secretary was gunned down in Etete.
