Burning tyres and debris block N2, Umdloti
Be cautious on N2 northbound, protesters barricaded lanes with burning tyres and debris.
Police have warned commuters to approach the N2, going north, just before the King Shaka Airport with caution after protesters blocked off two lanes with burning tyres earlier this morning.
It is not clear at this stage what the protest was about but traffic was severely backed up for some time.
According to police on scene, the protesters dispersed as soon as they arrived.
Two lanes have been closed because of the debris from the protest.
This is currently being cleared up.
