Driver critical in vehicle pile-up at Ballito
The driver of the Polo had been thrown from the vehicle and was the most severely injured requiring advanced life support intervention.
One person is critical and three others are injured after a three-vehicle accident, including a truck, at Ballito.
The collision occurred about three metres from the traffic lights at Netcare Alberlito Hospital on the M4 earlier this morning.
Speaking from the accident scene IPSS Medical Rescue’s Paul Herbst said they the driver of the Polo had been thrown from the vehicle and was the most severely injured.
“The Polo and the Merc were driving towards Ashton when the Polo collided with the Merc and the oncoming truck,” said Herbst.
