Tanker leaks dangerous sulphuric acid, Umvoti Plaza
WATCH: Sulphuric acid leaking from overturned tanker.
A tanker carrying sulphuric acid has overturned at the Umvoti Ultra City, south bound.
“No injuries have been sustained in the accident,” said IPSS Medical Rescue‘s Dylan Meyrick.. “The tanker is leaking sulphuric acid, and a number of people, including Ultra City staff, have been affected by the gas.
“All necessary personnel are on scene, and those affected are being treated by medics.”
N2 is open but Ultra City southbound is closed.
