Expect more destruction from angry mobs
The Fairbreeze community will cause destruction if the mayor doesn't meet the people by Sunday afternoon.
Fairbreeze protesters have closed the R102 at Burbreeze, between Tongaat and Ballito.
“Our info is that the community has given the mayor a deadline to meet with the Nkobongo community,” said KZN Crime Intelligence’s Donovan Chetty.
“The same demands for improved service delivery and lazy ward councillors being reassigned even before voting has taken place, are being rippled to other areas like Shayamoya, Glendale and now Fairbreeze.
“They, too, want the mayor to come and listen to their problems with their ward councillors.
“Further information is that the community will cause destruction if the mayor doesn’t don’t meet the people by Sunday afternoon.”
Chetty said to expect more hectares of cane to be destroyed, more roads blocked by burning tyres and trees and business premises to be targeted.
