Ballito taxi rank still up in the air
Ngobese said the municipality cannot speculate on a time frame as there was a lot to do and documentation has been finalised.

Taxi owners have heard rumors that a new taxi rank for Ballito would be built by the end of the year, but progress on the matter has yet to be communicated.
KwaDukuza‘s spokesperson Sphelelo Ngobese said, “We are in a process of acquiring land to establish a taxi rank there. We have found that this process requires a lot of legalities which is a dynamic that is costing us more time. Three sites have been proposed, however, we are still engaging the relevant stakeholders and we can only pronounce on this development once the definite site is identified.”
Ngobese said the municipality cannot speculate on a time frame as there was a lot to do and documentation has been finalised.
“At this point, we cannot pronounce ourselves on that matter as we are still engaging with the relevant stakeholders. Once the process is finalised, we will issue an official statement detailing the scope of the project and the site thereof,” he said.
