R115 560 worth of goods stolen in Sheffield burglary
A car was broken into and two houses were robbed in Sheffield last weekend.
Umhlali SAPS attended the following crimes last weekend:
· A car was broken into and a cell phone, tablet, laptop and car CD player worth R38 000 in total were stolen at Sheffield Beach on Friday.
· A house was broken into and an Apple laptop, flat screen television and school bag were stolen at Seaward Estate on Saturday.
· A Sheffield house was broken into and a laptop, television, piano, linen, printer and camera valued at R115 560 were stolen during the early hours of Sunday morning.
· A Sheffield resident came home on Sunday and realised that the front door was forced open and the 55 inch Samsung television and laptop worth R55 000 was stolen.
· A Nkobongo resident was threatened at knife point and forced into a bus, where she was raped for 10 minutes on Sunday.
Surfers are urged not to hide their keys on the sand, because that will put their cars in risk of getting stolen.
The police also want to highlight that according to the by-laws within the Dolphin Coast, loud music will not be tolerated after midnight and no loud music may be played on Sunday evenings.
