Stabbings and assaults kept Umhlali police busy
A man was assaulted with a beer bottle in Shayamoya on Saturday and was taken to hospital.
Umhlali SAPS attended the following crimes last weekend.
· A house was broken into in Nkobongo on Friday. Items valued at R470 were stolen.
· A house was broken into in Etete on Friday afternoon. A tablet, watch, backpack and liquor were stolen.
· A body was found next to a river bank in Shaka’s Head on Saturday. The body was covered with a blanket and had five stab wounds.
· A man was stabbed at iSbhoni Farm, Upper Tongaat on Saturday.
· A man was mugged outside a bar in Shakaskraal on Saturday night.
· A man was assaulted with a golf stick in Nkobongo on Saturday.
· A man was assaulted with a beer bottle in Shayamoya on Saturday. He sustained injuries on his hands and stomach and was taken to Stanger Hospital.
