Ballito puts on its poker face for SRU

Amid many a piercing look, bluff, double-bluff - and more than a few blatant lies, SRU manages to raise more than R16 000.

Visitors to Fiamma Grill had to know when to hold ’em and when to fold ’em on Thursday last week during a poker evening to raise funds for Specialised Rescue Unit.

Amid many a piercing look, bluff, double-bluff – and more than a few blatant lies, SRU manages to raise more than R16 000.

R10 000 in prizes went out to those few lucky enough to still have chips by the end of the evening.

Quentin Power of SRU thanked all those who had a hand in making the evening the success that it was, with special thanks going to the sponsors: Heineken, Fiamma Grill, Mo-Zam-Bik and Bad Beat for the poker tables.
