Boy critical after car hits him on Shaka’s Rock bridge
The child was walking home on the Shaka's Head bridge when he was hit by a car.
A five-year old boy is in a critical condition after being hit by a white car on Shaka’s Rock bridge this afternoon at about 3pm.

‘The boy sustained critical injuries and required advanced life support intervention,” said IPSS Medical Rescue‘s Paul Herbst.
The boy was reportedly walking on the bridge when he was hit by the car.
Paramedics Ajith Gareeb and Peter Kenyon worked on stabilising the boy.
“Various critical interventions were performed before transporting the patient to an appropriate medical facility.”
Herbst said details on how the accident occurred were sketchy.
