The SAPS equestrian mounted unit are galloping through Ballito today with four of their beautiful chargers.
They started their festive season patrols at the Ballito Lifestyle Centre, Ballito Junction and Ballito Bay Mall this morning and will heading down to the beach later today.

Lieutenant colonel Carlea Harboldt from the Pietermaritzburg Mounted Unit said they will return to Ballito during the holidays.
The mounted unit play an important role in visible policing.
“We want to make the criminals aware that we are ready for them during the festive season,” said Harboldt.
People seem to be enjoying the visit of the police jockeys in town.
