Lovers hijacked and man shot

Criminals took advantage of a couple sitting in the parked car in Groutville.

A couple were set on by hijackers while they were having a romantic rendezvous in the man’s car in Charlottedale Township in Groutville on Sunday night.

The man was shot in the stomach before the robbers made off with the car.

KwaDukuza SAPS spokesperson Johannes Khoza said the man was taken to hospital.

“His Mazda Drifter was taken by the criminals and we appeal to any one with information that will lead to the arrest of the perpetrators to come forward,” said Khoza.
