Umhlali security guard’s alleged attackers arrested

The three men who assaulted a security guard and stole over R100 000 worth of goods have been arrested.

The three men who allegedly assaulted a Megaforce security guard at the old ice-cream factory in Umhlali last week were arrested this morning by members of the security company.

Megaforce’s Leon Rajcoomar said they followed their leads and made the first arrest at about 5am in Shaka’s Head, followed by two further arrests later on.

“The three arrested men stole a generator worth about R70 000 and copper cable to the value of R35 000,” said Rajcoomar.

Umhlali SAPS have collected the three men from Megaforce.

The assaulted security guard has been released from hospital with about 15 stitches to his head.
