Nkobongo girl raped at gunpoint
The man allegedly held the girl (11) at gunpoint while raping her.
Umhlali SAPS attended the following crimes last weekend.
- An 11-year-old girl was raped in Nkobongo on Friday evening. The child was on her way to buy a cigarette for her mother when an unknown man called her. The man allegedly held her at gunpoint while raping her.
- A man was caught stealing diesel at a construction site in Etete, Khalafukwe area on Friday.
- A man was assaulted with a stick and choked while on his way home in Driefontein on Friday. His cellphone and money were taken.
- A man was arrested for breaking into a house in Shakaskraal, Inyoni street on Saturday. A cellphone and tablet were stolen.
- A man was robbed of his bank card in Shakaskraal on Saturday. He was trying to withdraw money at the ATM when a man offered to help him. He later realised that the man who helped him did not return the bank card. On his way to report the incident at the bank, he got a message informing him that R2000 was being withdrawn from his account.
- A Shaka’s Head supermarket employee was stabbed on Sunday. Two men entered the supermarket and refused to pay for baby formula. When the shopkeeper tried to follow them they stabbed him.
Umhlali SAPS urge residents and holiday makers not to leave valuable items in their cars when they are going out the beach.
Surfers are reminded not to hide their keys on the sand because this put their cars at risk of getting stolen.
