Power outage hits Ballito

There is no confirmed time as to when the power will return

The greater Ballito area has been without power for the last three hours, and there is no confirmation as to when it may be back on.

According to Ballito Ward 6 councillor Tammy Colley, there was a problem with the electricity feed at the Driefontein substation.

“We are unsure how long it will take to fix the problem.”

KwaDukuza municipality electricity department representative Dambuza Nceba said the fault was being worked on by Eskom, but he could not give an estimate as to when the power would return.
