Baby killed, three injured in horrific N2 accident

The vehicle rolled multiple times

An 18-month-old baby has been killed while three people have been left injured after an early morning accident on the N2 south bound near Tinley Manor.

According to IPSS Medical Rescue’s Paul Herbst, the baby was sitting on the front passenger seat with the mother when the father lost control of the vehicle, which rolled several times.

Paramedics arrived on scene to find the baby pinned under the front windscreen, which had to be cut away in order to begin resuscitation.

After 45 minutes there was no response.

The three survivors were taken to hospital.
