From donating to local NGO’s, to simply handing out sweet treats to children, everyone got involved in one way or another.
Vision 153
Community members joined Vision 153 at their Shakashead container and assisted with preparing and bagging fresh veggies to supply their soup kitchen. Books were also donated to the Vision 153 children’s library.
Simbithi
Staff of the Simbithi Eco-Estate Homeowners’ Association (SEEHOA) and their counterparts from the Simbithi Country Club, stepped out of the office and into jeans and sneakers – ready to serve their community on Mandela Day.
The staff was split into two teams, with each team spending 67 minutes at the two schools Simbithi has partnered with.
The first group headed to RA Padayachee Primary School in Shaka’s Head, where they planted a beautiful garden at the school’s entrance. The second group spent time at Sizani Combined School in Foxhill, painting a division of the grade seven classroom with paint generously sponsored by Prodec Paints.
