Four dead in R102 accident

The vehicle rolled multiple times before hitting a tree.

Four people were killed and two others received minor injuries in a single vehicle accident on the R102 near the Tugela Bridge in the early hours of this morning.

The four deceased were men in their early thirties.

IPSS Medical Rescue’s Paul Herbst said the single vehicle accident occurred when the driver reportedly lost control of the car on the R102 at around 3 am this morning.

“The vehicle rolled multiple times before hitting a tree.

“The four men were found dead upon arrival of the paramedics.

“The two other people, a man and a woman, sustained minor injuries.”
