Activity has quietened down with the sudden change of weather
The sardines made another welcome appearance on the South Coast over the weekend, with lots of activity in Scottburgh and Pennington between Friday and Sunday.

A number of large nets were taken over the three days, but activity soon quietened down with the sudden change of weather.
“Since Sunday it has been very quiet due to choppy seas and the North Easterly wind.
“They probably won’t make an appearance until the conditions settle,” said Mike Anderson-Reade, head of operations for KwaZulu-Natal Sharks Board.
“The million-dollar question is, ‘where are they likely to go from here?’”
