Planking in Pink for cancer
The inspiring event has been running for four years, headed up by the invigorating Tash Barnard and the Pink Phoenix Cancer Foundation
Ladies wearing stylish tights and powerful pink tops arrived at the TashB Pilates – Pink Phoenix Fundraiser and were ready to stretch for breast cancer at Canelands Beach Club and Spa last week.
The inspiring event has been running for four years, headed up by the invigorating Tash Barnard and the Pink Phoenix Cancer Foundation who raise funds, create awareness around breast cancer and support fighters, admire the survivors and remember the taken.
Barnard said the event started off with only 15 people and has grown to over 55 this year.

“This day has been such a blessing and you ladies have been wonderful. Whenever I come home to Ballito after travelling somewhere, I think how lucky I am to live in such an amazing place,” said Barnard.
Mom of five and cancer warrior, Cathy van Lill shared her story with the ladies and left them with a strong message that she has learnt to live by.
“You have the power of choice and you are in complete control of your thoughts and your reaction to what is happening around you. It is up to you to make it positive or negative,” said the 32-year-old Van Lill, who was diagnosed with stage four metastatic breast cancer last year.
