Show some tender love for your appliances

Local domestic workers were treated to a cooking class and a lesson on appliance maintenance at the recent Hirsch's Domestic Workers Training Course.

Domestic workers were treated to a cooking demonstration and an in-depth lesson on cleaning and maintaining appliances when Hirsch’s Homestore in Ballito recently held their monthly Domestic Workers Training Course.

The cooking demonstration was done by Hirsch’s Head chef, Havenisha Naidoo, who whipped up delicious yet easy to replicate recipes.

This was followed by cleaning and maintaining appliances lessons by Terence Gounden from Hirsch’s spares and repairs department.

“These courses are aimed at empowering our local domestic workers, teaching them how important their role is and providing them with skills that will help them be better equipped,” said Hirsch’s Shane Spencer.

The women each received their certificate of completion for attending.

If you would like to attend the next course nominate your domestic worker as the domestic worker for the month, contact shane@hirschs.co.za or 032-9467400 for more information.
