Christmas cheer all year round with the Christmas Fair Fund

The Christmas Fair Fund's Shirley Yates has held Siyakhula crèche particularly close to her heart.

For the past 15 years, The Christmas Fair Fund ladies have been loyal Christmas elves bringing new presents to improve the Siyakhula crèche near Groutville.

The Christmas Fair Fund’s Shirley Yates has held Siyakhula crèche particularly close to her heart and has been instrumental in their various projects: building two classrooms, an ablution block with three toilets and basins, installing burglar bars, tiling the floors and installing Jojo tanks.

The crèche is run by the lovely Simengele Mpuzana who for years has given her time and expertise to educating around 120 children.

Thanks to Mpuzana’s guidance, the crèche is in immaculate condition, well run and the children are happy.

The Christmas Fair Fund will continue working towards improving the crèche and plans to fence the school so that they will be able to have a successful vegetable garden as well as better security for the children.
