Double train fatalities in Shaka’s Head

Two people have been killed by trains in one week.

Two men have lost their lives after being hit by a train in two separate incidents this week.

On Wednesday afternoon paramedics were called out to the railway tracks near the Shaka’s Head train station.

According to Netcare 911’s Shawn Herbst, a man was killed by a train while crossing the tracks.

A second man died this morning (Friday) in the same vicinity.

IPSS Medical Rescue’s Paul Herbst said the man was declared dead by paramedics.
