TAKE NOTE: Petrol price to skyrocket at midnight

Make sure you head down to your nearest petrol station tonight.

Motorists will have to dig deep into their pockets as of tomorrow, April 4, after the Minister of Energy, Jeff Radebe, announced a massive hike in fuel prices.

A number of influencing factors in the fuel price adjustments include the increase in Fuel and Road Accident Fund levies, the increase in transport costs and the contribution of the Rand/US Dollar exchange rate, among others.

Motorists on the coast will have to pay R13.89 for 95 octane and R13.74 for 93 octane from midnight, April 3.

The price of all grades of diesel will climb by 65.2 cents per litre.
