WATCH: Ballito Neighbourhood Watch condemns vandalism of Townsend Park
Residents are urged to report the perpetrators.
Townsend Park is one of Ballito’s green gems, but not everyone treats this space with respect.
Residents often wake on a Saturday or Sunday morning to see that, once again, somebody has driven into the park and ripped up the turf doing doughnuts.
Despite many complaints and appeals, the person or persons responsible keep returning.
Ballito Neighbourhood Watch (BNW) chairperson Candice Henderson condemned the vandalism of the park.
“It seems to happen at least once a month,” she said.

Henderson urged locals to report drivers trespassing in the park.
“Get a photograph of the perpetrators along with the number plate and they can be fined.”
If you would like to report such behaviour, contact the KDM line at 032-437 5570 or the North Coast Courier at 032 946 0276.
