New wheels for retirement village

Zimbali Charity Club golf day results in new combi for Westbrook Retirement Village.

After almost three years of continuous fundraising and an abundance of prayers, a much needed, brand new, shiny silver combi rolled into the Westbrook Retirement Village last week.

The village has been without their own bus for the last two years and nine months after their previous combi ran its course.

Rosa van der Merwe from the Westbrook Retirement Village was recently approached by Annece Winton of the Zimbali Charity Club, who added the village to their list of beneficiaries that would benefit from a golf day they held last month.

The successful event resulted in enough funds for Zimbali Charity Club to sponsor the brand new combi.

“We would like to thank Annece Winton, Paul Botha, Gavin Woodroffe, Sonja Whittaker, Anesh Pitamber and all those who were involved, especially the golfers,” said Rosa.

“We appreciate all your love and care.”
