Pedestrian killed on N2 at Ballito

The accident resulted in the closure of the N2 northbound slow lane.

It was a tragic start to Monday morning after a man was killed while crossing the N2 at the Ballito.

A taxi driving north on the N2 collided with the man in his late twenties, according to IPSS Medical Rescue’s Paul Herbst.

The scene of the accident was marked by the victim’s belongings lying next to the tyre skid marks, only metres away from his body.

The driver of the taxi, which reportedly carried no passengers, escaped unharmed.
